Studio 7 was commissioned to design a new family home to be located on a site along the eastern ridgeline overlooking greater Auckland.
Referencing features from the early settlements in the locality that included stone walls and landscaped terracing, the house stretches along the ridge, with strong horizontal lines and terraced
gardens, enabling every room to face the western views. The design incorporates multiple natural façade materials and extensive landscaping to blend the dwelling into the ridgeline.
Following procurement of a design review and buildings consent the project ended with construction pending a successful sale of the property.
